Border deaths prompt call for investigation, and justice

Death at the Border – Stopping Excessive Force by Border Patrol Agents

Eight unexplained deaths of immigrants at the border, in the last two years, at the hands of border patrol officers, are being raised by AFSC – American Friends Service Committee – in a call and petition to President Obama to initiate an investigation of these incidents and the apparent pattern of excessive force by border patrol agents. Most disturbing is the incident on May 28, 2010, when Anastasio Hernández Rojas died as a result of a beating and tasing by U.S. Border Patrol agents in San Diego. Two videos of the incident have emerged, displayed in the PBS Special Need to Know.
