Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba

Our annual visit from Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba will take place on Thursday, July 12, with a dinner (optional) and talk by caravanista Lisa Valanti.

Come celebrate the island nation with universal free health care, education, safe water, sanitation, electrification, and a national program for organic farming. Lisa Valenti has travelled to Cuba 25 times with Pastors for Peace Summer Caravans. Pastors for Peace’s mission is to end the U.S. Embargo and travel ban against Cuba, an obsolete Cold War policy. It denies U.S. farmers opportunities to trade; denies U.S. hoteliers opportunities to build vacation resorts there; denies U.S. and Cuban citizens the opportunity to trade, travel, and build relationships.

Location: Cocina de Mino restaurant, SW 59th St. & Western Ave (east side of Western) in the Party Room, south end.

6 pm – Order your own food
7 pm – Lisa Valanti speaking about Cuba’s amazing universal health care, free education, safe water, sanitation, electrificatoin, and policies now in place for burgeoning free enterprise. If the US ends the 50-year old Embargo, we could have free trade and travel to Cuba, as we do with China.

(A free-will offering will go to support Pastors For Peace.)
