United Nations Human Rights Day – Dec. 7, 2011 – was marked in Geneva, Switzerland with speeches and panels representing many nations. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 30-minute address called for full human and civil rights for LGBT people in nations around the world. She said, “The U.S. will be your ally” to gays and lesbians around the world.
